What to bring on a hike
You don't need expensive gear for your first hike. Start with what you already have. Each hike listing says what else you'll need.
- Boots above the ankleBroken in, so they don't give you blisters.
- Two litres of waterBring three in summer.
- A windproof jacket and a warm layerEven when the forecast looks good.
- Food for the whole dayPlus something sweet for the way back.
